Arriving in Siesta Key by car
Getting to Siesta Key by car is pretty easy. Located off I-75, you can access the island from one of two bridges in Sarasota. The Siesta Key North bridge and Stickney Point bridge allow access from either end of the island. On average, both bridges open six to seven times a day, for about five minutes, and let one or two boats through each time. You should plan extra travel time on a good boating day and especially during high season January to April.
The quickest way to get there is by taking I-75 to take exit 207 for State Hwy 758. Continue along State Hwy 758 until you cross the Siesta Key North bridge. After crossing the bridge, take a slight left onto Midnight Pass Rd which is the main street and will take you to Siesta Key Village or the beach!

Getting around Siesta Key with the free trolley
The Free Trolley runs seven days a week, Monday-Sunday 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday & Saturday extended weekend hours till Midnight. Siesta Key Breeze, the free trolley service operated by Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT), is a great way to get around the island. Look for the SCAT signs along the island to identify trolley stops.
The “Siesta Key Breeze” Trolley app is very helpful to see the map of stops and actual arrival times. The trolley also accepts cash tips, which can be easily done through the app or by tipping the driver in person.
In addition, the Frog Hop and Jonny’s Original Free Ride are also options for a cash tip with the added convenience that you can for pick up at a specific location or flag them down if you see them anywhere on the island.
